For nearly a decade, Heather Foat has been threading personal development into the practice of yoga to help people wherever they are in life.
Since becoming Certified in 2010 in Sacramento, California, Heather has taught in yoga studios, churches, and corporate offices as well as recovery programs, The Men's Salvation Army, and Community Addiction and Recovery Association.
Helping patients that are suicidal, depressed, anxious and suffering from mental illness, for 2+ years she taught chair yoga at UC San Diego Hospital in the Psychiatric Ward and Senior Behavioral Unit as well as off-site long-term mental health care, Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc.
Residing in Newcastle since July 2018 with her partner, Heather is passionate about creating a Festival that summarizes her careers experience and what she's witnessed throughout the years: the important role movement plays in helping balance a person's mental and emotional states.
